Finance ministry: Russia not to see balanced budget by 2019
MOSCOW, Sep 30 (PRIME) -- The Russian Finance Ministry sees no chance of balancing budget even in late 2018 despite all austerity measures which have been already discussed, Deputy Finance Minister Tatyana Nesterenko told reporters Wednesday.
“Even if we count on the discussed solutions concerning a decrease in pension growth, military servants and state employees’ retirement age adjustment, we had several more solutions which we’ve included into the main areas of budget policies – even taken all that into account we are not going to seriously balance the budget by the end of 2018,” Nesterenko said.
She said that the ministry expects all budget decisions for 2016 to be made on Thursday at a meeting with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
